Summer Salt Lake Festivals

Summer in Salt Lake is the place to be! There are so many fun festivals that happen throughout the summer, you are sure to find one or two that meet your fancy.

Here are a few of our go-to’s that help make our summer time entertainment tons of fun.

 

Utah Pride Festival- Happening this weekend. The Utah Pride Festival features a parade, food and vendor booths and lots of celebratory activities. Events on both Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, parade takes place Sunday 10am-noon. Festivities take place at Washington Square in downtown Salt Lake City.

Utah Arts Festival– Taking place this summer June 20-23 at Library Square in Salt Lake City. The Utah Arts Festival has something to offer everyone, from the young to the young at heart. There are amazing local artist exhibits, live music, festival eats, documentary short films and even hands-on workshops.

Utah Blues Festival- Get your blues on at the Utah Blues Festival. Now in its 5th year, the festival is a fundraiser for the Utah Blues Society. This unique music festival connects attendees to national and local Blues artists. There is also a youth showcase and workshops.

Deer Valley Music festival– Cool mountain air and live talent make the Deer Valley Music Festival on the top festivals to partake in during the summer months. Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater

Oktoberfest -Taking place every weekend from mid-August and running until mid-October, the Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a fun way to transition summer into fall. Live music, vendors and of course plenty of German food and drinks, coupled with mountain views and air, make this a festival not to be missed.

Publik Coffee Roasters- Offering 4 unique blends. Beans are sourced from Brazil, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Peru, Planadas and Tolima and roasted in house. Each flavor blend is unique and the profiles range from dark chocolate to nutty. Baristas prepare a beautifully crafted finish, a work of drinkable art. The atmosphere is fun but also can be a great space to plug in and work.

Campos Roastery & Kitchen– The Australian coffee roaster not only has delicious coffee with amazing flavor profiles, but the company also has a social conscience that is evident in their simple statement, “Quality Coffee Cultivated by Good”. Millcreek Coffee Roasters – This family owned business, has been roasting coffee in Salt Lake since 1992. They visit the countries of origin to source the beans they roast and are focused on an environmentally-friendly way to produce.  Beans are roasted daily to ensure the best quality and flavor. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast and lunch items are also available.

3 Cups-Brewing beans from local roasters, Blue Copper and La Barba, this happening coffee hub has some of the best coffee and treats in town. There are house made savory and sweet items along with some refreshing gelato to add to your daily brew.

Salt Lake Roasting Company- Founder John Bolton set out to travel the world on a mission to find the best organic, shade-grown beans on the planet. SLRC roasts beans from North, South and Central America. The flavor profiles range from dark roasts to blends and green, unroasted beans are also available. Stop in for a cup and take home a pound.

Sugar House Coffee- It really is a community gathering space, and they serve great coffee. Awesome patio, fun and energetic vibe, you will want to linger there so we recommend getting a large coffee and maybe a sandwich.  With locally sourced products wherever possible, it is the perfect spot to spend a few hours.

It is almost that time! Salt Lake farmers markets bring local farmers, producers and purveyors together in a centralized, open-aired market to sell their fresh products to the public. Farmers Markets are popping up all over the state, and we could not be happier. Supporting local is paramount to building our communities, keeping money in our economy and making connections.

Sugar House Farmers Market 

This family-friendly neighborhood market focuses on local products with a Sugar House flair. Enjoy fresh produce, unique craft artisans, and delicious foods on a Wednesday evening.

Downtown SLC Farmers Market

Now entering its 28th year as Salt Lake’s long-running summer tradition, the Saturday market supports local farmers and producers by offering a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, grass-fed beef, dairy, eggs, honey and locally made baked goods and other culinary delights.

Liberty Park Farmers Market 

one of SLC’s newer markets, this market is great for families with fun kids activities, an art market, and a robust produce market.

Daybreak Farmers Market 

This market launched last year and has been a huge hit. Here you will find small producers, locally crafted good, organic produce, wild seafood, and many other fun vendors creating leather goods, pottery etc.

Park Silly Market  

Entering its 13th season, the Park Silly market takes place on Sundays on Park City’s Main street and includes artisans, local foods, jewelers, and local products. The Park Silly Market is full of fun vendors, an energetic vibe- some folks dress in costume, and great treats.
