Why relocate to Salt Lake City?

A great place to live:

We have a great job market.

We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the Nation and we have big businesses like Adobe, ATK, L-3, and Micron that bring many jobs to the Utah Market.

We have great recreation.

There is recreation available all year round and you are less than an hour to skiing, boating, hiking and any other recreation you can imagine. We have the best snow on earth. Seven world-class ski resorts are within minutes of Salt Lake City.

We also have a healthy biking community. Road biking and mountain biking trails are abundant around Salt Lake City and the nearby Wasatch Mountains. http://www.bikeslc.com/

We have a nice climate with 4 seasons.

When you get sick of one season, it changes. Our temperatures range from 5-105 degrees so there is a season for everyone.

We have really nice people here.

We are not making it up. We really do have nice people here. It is not uncommon that friendly neighbors will shovel your sidewalk if you cannot get to it in the winter, take your garbage cans in when you are sick or elderly or just give you a friendly smile or hello when they walk by.

Good public transportation in most areas.

The UTA Frontrunner gets you 80 miles in just over an hour. And when you are in downtown Salt Lake, the smaller light rail system is free. The light rail system runs in multiple directions all around Salt Lake County. See https://www.rideuta.com/ for more information.

You will never get lost.

We have a great grid system that makes our city very easy to navigate. Think of Salt Lake City as a big grid, with lines going north-south and east-west. Getting from point A to point B is now just counting the lines. Even if you are directionally-impaired, the Wasatch mountains are East so you will at least know which direction you are going.

We have rich culture, art and music scene.

Besides having many private music and art venues, every summer, the Salt Lake City Arts Council offers up a free concert series downtown, the Twilight Concert Series. For more info, visit: http://saltlakearts.org/program/twilight-concert-series/. We also have a famous Art Gallery stroll each month where you can visit many local art galleries.
