1. Halloween at Home

If you’re looking to spend Halloween at home this year, have no fear. There are many spooky activities and delicious treats to try from the comfort of your own home.

If you’re not trick-or-treating this Halloween, consider making these fun treats perfect for the whole family. A simple, favorite Halloween treat is the classic Witch Hat Cookie.

For this recipe, start by baking regular chocolate chip cookies. Then, dip the cookies into the chocolate sauce (a bowl of melted semi-sweet morsels.) After, place the dipped cookies onto a baking sheet and refrigerate.

To support the fight towards ending Huntington’s Disease, all proceeds will go toward the Huntington’s Disease Society of America Utah Chapter. Be sure to wear masks and practice social distancing.

4. Gateway Halloween Nights

Every Saturday in October, Gateway Halloween Nights offers month-long fun for Halloween. With a new classic Halloween film shown every weekend, there are also exciting contests, a spooky photo booth, and takeout food options. Be sure to bring a blanket, comfy chairs, and up to five of your friends.

With social distancing, masks, and sanitizing stations, you can celebrate safely under the stars. Be sure to pre-register before attending.

5. The Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Show

For America’s largest Dinner Detective interactive murder mystery show, this event is a must-attend. Enjoy a four-course dinner and an interactive show that requires audience members to solve a Halloween crime mystery. You may even find yourself as the main suspect.

This event is perfect for those who love comedy, mystery, and the magical spirit of Halloween. With social distancing and masks required, all Covid-19 guidelines are strictly enforced for all guests’ safety.

Rainbow Bridge is the largest natural bridge in the world. It was declared a National Monument in 1910 and attracts 85,000 visitors a year.

Rainbow Bridge is next to Glen Canyon National Recreation area. To reach the bridge, you must follow a winding trail around the park’s lakes.

If you’re looking for a longer hike, consider backpacking to the bridge from Navajo Nation, which takes about two days. There are also boat tours out of Lake Powell that take visitors to see the magnificent Rainbow Bridge.

Bike Gooseberry Mesa

Over 20 years ago, the Harris brothers created Gooseberry Mesa, one of southern Utah’s best spots for mountain biking. In 2006, the area was dubbed a National Recreation Trail.

The trail has white paint markers over its rocks for easy navigation. It’s a challenging trail and best suited for experienced riders. The terrain is twisty, but it offers incredible views of the southern Utah landscape.

Dive Into Sand Hollow State Park

Sand Hollow State Park is becoming a southern Utah hotspot thanks to its variety of outdoor activities.

Visitors can head to the 20,000-acre park to enjoy an afternoon of fishing, boating, ATVing, and camping. If the heat is getting to you, head to the beach, or dive to the depths of the Sand Hollow Reservoir.

Experience Kodachrome Basin State Park

Incredible sandstone rock formations create the backdrop of Kodachrome Basin State Park. There are 67 monolithic stone spires throughout the region.

The park is an excellent place for hiking, camping, and horseback riding. It’s also located near Grosvenor Arch. The sandstone arches tower 150 feet off the ground to create a mesmerizing sight.
